To get to Barú you have several options, by land and water. Each one adapted to the preferences and budgets of travelers. Here we detail the most common ways:
Once in Cartagena, if you are near the Historic Center of Cartagena, you can go to the monument of La India Catalina or the Castillo de San Felipe, which is where the bus passes. The cost of the ticket is $3,100 COP (0.9 Dollars). But if you are in another place, ask what is the nearest point where the bus to Pasacaballos passes
Once in Pasacaballos, you must take a motorcycle or a tuk tuk that will take you for $10,000 COP (2.7 Dollars and so you will finally arrive at Playa Blanca. The total cost is approximately $13,100 COP (3.4 Dollars)
The boat trip starts at the Muelle de la Bodeguita in Cartagena, near the Clock Tower. It has a cost of $60,000 COP (15.7 Dollars) to $70,000 COP (18.3 Dollars), plus $17,000 COP (4.5 Dollars) of the port tax
Another option is to hire a day tour to Playa Blanca, this costs more or less about 50,000 COP(13 Dollars) and you can hire it in the historic center. They pick you up and take you back to the hotel at the end of the day, but we recommend you to stay in Playa Blanca, although this depends on you

Therefore, we recommend you to ask the price of absolutely everything. Do not accept free samples or the "tasting" and agree on prices before taking or consuming something
