How to get to Barichara

To get to Barichara, the easiest way is from Bucaramanga, the nearest city. You should take a flight to Palonegro International Airport in Bucaramanga, outside the airport you will find white collective taxis that will take you to the terminal, they cost $12,000 COP (3.1 DOLLARS) tell them to drop you off at the bridge "EL BUENO".

Once at the bridge you can walk to the terminal, it is close or also take a mototaxi for $3,000 COP (1.1 DOLLARS) or take a taxi for $6,000 COP (1.5 DOLLARS) and you will arrive at the terminal. Another option is to take a yellow taxi from the airport that will take you directly to the terminal for $35,000 COP (8.8 DOLLARS)

Road in Santander

Once at the Bucaramanga terminal take a bus to San Gil, Santander. this costs $30,000 COP (7.5 DOLLARS) and takes about 3 hours. Once in San Gil take a collective or a van to Barichara, it costs around 6,000 COP (1.6 DOLLARS) and takes about 35 minutes and voila, you've arrived in Barichara!
